Gretsch celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2008. It's long history of quality, precision and innovation has resulted in a loyal customer following and the company plans to produce excellent equipment for another 125 years. The Gretsch sound reputably has a singular richness, and it is the subject of Chet Falzerano's "Gretsch Drums: The Legacy of That Great Gretsch Sound," a book in which drumming greats Jimmy Cobb, Chuck Flores, Phil Grant, Jake Hanna, Elvin Jones, Don Lamond, Charlie Persip, and Dick Shanahan pay tribute to drums they love.
